Audio Obscura has announced ‘Highway Rave’, a landmark event set to take place on Saturday, June 21st, 2025, on a section of Amsterdam’s A10 highway. The show will unfold by the RAI Metro Station as part of the city’s official 750th anniversary festivities.
In a first-of-its-kind initiative, the A10 will be closed to traffic for one day only during ‘Festival op de Ring’ — a 17 km-long celebration uniting tens of thousands across the city. Audio Obscura, the only electronic music promoter selected to curate one of the main music sites for the festival, will transform the raw concrete backdrop of the A10 into a full-scale rave arena.
Promising 9 hours of back-to-back DJ sets, the event will bring together a lineup of special guests for an open-air celebration. This free, ticketed rave will serve as a cultural gift to the city, fusing energy, artistry, and electronic heritage in a one-off tribute to Amsterdam.
Renowned for reimagining iconic spaces, Audio Obscura has previously staged events at distinct locations including Concertgebouw, Amsterdam Central Station, De Loft in the A’DAM Toren, and the bicycle passage beneath the Rijksmuseum. ‘Highway Rave’ marks the latest evolution in their mission to merge electronic music with the city’s architecture and spirit.
