Avalon Emerson has unveiled a new single titled ‘Treat Mode’, out now via Dead Oceans. The track arrives as part of her forthcoming release, ‘Perpetual Emotion Machine’.
‘Treat Mode’ follows Emerson’s cover of Oppenheimer Analysis’ cult classic ‘Don’t Be Seen With Me’, which landed last month. The latest offering continues her return to dancefloor-focused sounds, marking a shift from the dream pop textures of 2023’s ‘Avalon Emerson & The Charm’.
“These songs were created for my DJ sets,” Emerson shared. “Whether they’re entirely original, edits to recontextualize old favorites, instrumental, or feature me singing, they are all part of my perpetual emotion machine. And the machine steams on.”
Described by Dead Oceans as a “living, evolving” project, ‘Perpetual Emotion Machine’ draws inspiration from a broad spectrum of genres and eras, serving as “a conduit for human connection on the dance floor.”
