Swedish DJ and producer Axel Boman has released his latest mix, now available on EG’s SoundCloud and Mixcloud platforms. Known for his inventive approach to electronic music, Boman delivers a set that encapsulates his dynamic style and genre-defying selections.
In his own words, Boman describes the mix as “I made this mix with a dancefloor in mind, how I dream it to be, jumping between genres, sprinkled with some cheeky curveballs, adding some electro but mostly playing deep and thumpin’ house music.”
Axel Boman’s journey into electronic music began in Stockholm’s vibrant scene in the early 1990s. His breakthrough came in 2010 with the release of ‘Purple Drank’ on DJ Koze’s Pampa Records. That same year, he co-founded Studio Barnhus—a pivotal Stockholm label, music studio, and creative collective—alongside Petter Nordqvist (Petter/Pedrodollar) and Kornél Kovács.
Boman’s distinctive sound blends dub influences with house and techno, characterized by inventive use of space and rhythm. His collaborative project Talaboman, with John Talabot, further showcases his commitment to musical exploration and innovation.
