A new festival named Back of House Festival will debut in Essex this summer, combining electronic music, food culture, and drinks programming across a three-day event. The gathering will take place from August 14th to 16th, 2026, at Kelvedon Hall.
Located about an hour from London, Kelvedon Hall is a Grade I-listed 18th-century country house that will host the first edition of the event. Back of House Festival aims to bring together music, gastronomy, and hospitality, creating a shared environment where cooking, service, and dancefloor culture intersect.
The music lineup features artists including Cassy, Josh Caffé, NIKS, Flo Dill, Bel Cobain, Carlos Valdes, Wayward, Children of Zeus, Chelou, Catching Flies performing with a string quartet, and Ishmael Ensemble for a DJ set. Additional performers include Tia Gordon, WheelUP, Wildealer, ZENA, Stella and The Longos, Tikiman and Arthur, Robin Mack, Mr. Redley, Delonte Rivers, Dragana, 2fox, ddwy, Sol Paradise, Menendez Bros, and Meltmode.
Alongside the music programme, the festival places strong emphasis on food and drink. Chefs from London’s restaurant scene will take part, including Albert Smith of Smoking Goat, Elliot Hashtroudi of Camille, and Holly Middleton Joseph of Hausu.
Curated drinks experiences will also form part of the event, with contributions from Black Wine Club, Dram, Hector’s, and Salseo, alongside tasting sessions and cocktail programming.
