Bandcamp has announced the integration of Bandcamp Live, which implements a system similar to that used when uploading releases on to the platform: followers are notified when a show is announced, and tickets can be purchased in the same manner as releases.
Other new features include a virtual merch table and an optional chatroom which can be moderated. Bandcamp Live is available right now, and among the artists with confirmed performances is Kaitlyn Aurelia Smith, who is bound to take the stage on December 21st.
There are no service charges included for the service, but Bandcamp does take a 10% cut of sales, although said fee will be waived through March 31st, 2021.
