Sónar Festival’s 2025 edition, scheduled for June 12th–14th in Barcelona, has announced its initial lineup. The festival will showcase over 60 acts, blending established names with rising stars.

Headlining the festival are several standout performances. Richie Hawtin’s Plastikman project returns for its first appearance since 2014. Fresh off her recent triple Latin Grammy win, Nathy Peluso will present her new album ‘Grasa’.

Sónar 2025 is set to deliver a series of world-class audiovisual performances. Featured artists include Eric Prydz, BICEP with their CHROMA AV/DJ set, and UK rave innovators Overmono. The festival will also showcase cutting-edge shows from Arca, Max Cooper with his ‘Lattice 3D/AV’ presentation. And a mysterious new performance by multidisciplinary artist Daito Manabe.

Collaboration takes center stage at this year’s event, with several pairings and interdisciplinary projects. Highlights include ‘Room with a View’ by Rone and the (LA)HORDE collective, featuring the Ballet National de Marseille, and an unprecedented collaboration between experimental artist Actress and modular synthesis pioneer Suzanne Ciani, entitled ‘Concrète Waves’.

Attendees can also enjoy back-to-back sets featuring unexpected pairings, including Skrillex b2b Blawan and trance legend Armin van Buuren with rising psy-techno star Indira Paganotto. The lineup also boasts performances by industry veterans Peggy Gou, Four Tet, and Honey Dijon, as well as up-and-coming artists like Barry Can’t Swim, Mochakk, and Helena Hauff.

The festival also emphasizes live performances with a social conscience. Notable acts include Samantha Hudson presenting her new hardcore-inspired album ‘Música Para Muñecas’, Six Sex’s blend of rave aesthetics and reggaeton, and KEBRA’s decolonizing, transfeminist take on “perreo” culture.

Sónar+D, the festival’s technology and creativity summit, returns in 2025 to explore the intersection of art, entertainment, and technology. Additionally, with a program including OFFSónar parties, the +RAIN Film Festival, and concerts at the Palau de la Música Catalana, Sónar Week promises to be a must-visit event for artists, industry professionals, and music lovers worldwide.
