Berlin to allow outdoor dance events

Up to 250 people will be allowed to dance outdoors starting this Friday, June 18th.

Berlin is set to loosen up its clubbing restrictions, allowing for venues to host outdoor dance events of up to 250 people. Attendees will have to present a recent negative COVID-19 test, and wear facemasks when not seated.

However, contact restrictions are still in place, which means that only up to 10 people from 5 different households can attend together.

Meanwhile, Brandenburg has green-lit outdoor events for up to 1,000 attendees without any restrictions. Indoor events still require mandatory mask use, additional testing, and only 1 guest per 10 square meters is allowed.

In a set of other related news, Berlin authorities have decided to lift its midnight to 5 AM alcohol ban in bars.
