Black Coffee’s historic performances at London’s Old Royal Naval College

For the first time ever, a DJ headlined at the revered Old Royal Naval College in Greenwich, London. Black Coffee’s mark a distinct milestone, he became the first DJ to headline this UNESCO-listed riverside location hosted by Labyrinth Events. Not only was this a premier in programming, but Black Coffee also achieved the rare feat of selling out both nights in the presale phase, becoming the first act to do so for the venue.

Across the two evenings, the artist curated a bespoke musical journey. First night, July 31st, featured support from Carlita, Henrik Schwarz (Live), and Meera. For the second night, August 1st, alongside Maz and a back-to-back set from Manoo and Fiona Kraft. The event promised custom staging and production tailored to the riverside setting, blending Black Coffee’s signature fusion of house, soul, and African rhythms with the architectural majesty of the venue and London’s financial district skyline at sunset.

On Friday, 1st of August, the event was preceded by an exclusive banquet for a limited number of selected guests. The menu was curated and prepared by acclaimed Spanish chef José Pizarro, renowned as one of the foremost ambassadors of Spanish cuisine in the UK. With multiple successful restaurants across London and a reputation for bringing the flavors of Spain to international audiences, Pizarro crafted a menu rooted in traditional Iberian ingredients and style. The dinner was supported by a renowned Spanish beer brand, enhancing the cultural and culinary experience with a refined Mediterranean flair ahead of the night’s performance.

The Labyrinth production team transformed the Old Royal Naval College into a premier destination for contemporary dance music, Black Coffee’s shows were positioned at the forefront of an ambitious fusion of heritage and nightlife. Each event ran until 23:00, casting performances within one of the city’s most storied architectural backdrops. More than a concert, it was a cultural landmark. With approximately 20,000 attendees, bespoke production and historic surroundings, the event bridged worlds, linking contemporary electronic music with timeless architectural heritage. This moment wasn’t just a personal triumph for the organization staff and the artists; it was a turning point for live music in London, proving that even the most traditional venues can host the future of sound.
