Berlin-based artist Budakid has just shared the drop of his latest EP, ‘Milestones’. The new record is already available to stream and purchase across all major digital platforms via Exploited Records.
Budakid’s new ‘Milestones’ EP is a clear-cut slice of optimism that finds the producer channeling early ‘80s new wave/electro and artists such as The Human League, Heaven 17, and Simple Minds.
“This ‘milestone’, is a stone set at the end of an era. A reflection on a chapter of my life. A pillar that marks a musical journey. A moment captured in sound. ‘Milestones’ started a year ago when I created the sequence track. Immediately, it was clear to me the direction I had to take it in. I invited Bad Actor, who is an incredibly talented singer, to record the vocals, and a close friend to add the organic bassline which gives ‘Milestones’ such an authentic feel. Both nailed it on their first takes! Everything came together and I couldn’t wait to play the track live. The ‘Milestone’ was truly set.” says Budakid about the new drop.
