Acid Pauli delivers a rare and introspective journey for the EG Podcast series, available now on SoundCloud and Mixcloud. Known for his boundary-defying sets and emotionally resonant selections, Martin Gretschmann, aka Acid Pauli,  treats this mix as a narrative, weaving hypnotic grooves with playful turns.

The session arrives on the heels of his latest project for Compost Records: reinterpretations of Val Xalino’s ‘Dançá Dançá T’Manchê’, a treasured work of Cape Verdean musical history. The digital version dropped on July 4, with vinyl available globally from August 29.

Across the hour, Acid Pauli moves seamlessly between mood and texture, from meditative atmospheres to vibrant rhythms. His selections reflect a wide sonic spectrum, always grounded in deep listening and emotional nuance.

The tracklist includes cuts by Arutani, Susumu Yokota, Lemna, Lucas Vazz, Absolute, Wata Igarashi, Yoruba Soul, Egyptian Lover, Timmy P & James Dexter, Morpei, Nowa, and Acid Pauli himself—plus a full rework of Xalino’s original, closing the mix with a personal homage.

In his two-decade career across global venues, Acid Pauli crafts eclectic soundscapes driven by curiosity and connection. His distinctive work spans tributes to Cohen and Sakamoto and collaborations with Indian musicians, defying categorization while maintaining his unique signature.
