Canadian singer-songwriter and producer rsun has recently dropped her latest single, ‘EZ’. This track brings together electronica and the artist’s heartfelt vocals to create a chill vibe.
The song itself is about those rare moments in love when everything feels effortless. According to rsun, “I usually create art from sadness, but this is the only happy song on the record. I wrote it when I was happy, but by the time I finished editing it, it brought back memories of sunshine and butterflies from a relationship that was otherwise doomed. Nonetheless, I think it’s important to acknowledge that feeling of ease when love feels right and makes life beautiful. That’s why we keep trying.”
This single showcases rsun’s versatility as an artist. Despite being only her second track created using Ableton software and her first time using a drum machine, the song features glossy, warm production and intricate electronic backing beneath her silky vocals.
In addition to ‘EZ’, rsun has three more singles scheduled for release ahead of her album’s launch. ‘pivot note in d (the artist’s way)’ will be released on October 11th, 2023, followed by ‘Sad Song’ on November 1st, 2023. The ‘QUEEN OF SWORDS’ album itself is set to be released on November 29th, 2023.
