One of the most respected names in the dance scene, Carl Cox, revealed his version of the song ‘Pomegranate’ originally by deadmau5 & The Neptunes. In this opportunity, he shares a house mix that promises to light up the dance floors when we finally return.
In his more than 6-minute remix, the British artist raises the tempo, adding a wild electric bass, a drumline, and synthesizers. Between his choices, he kept Pharrell’s voice as the protagonist.
“What an amazing opportunity to work with deadmau5 and The Neptunes. Who would not want to work with them? The original song is amazing: the arrangement, the drive, the bass line”, Carl Cox told Complex. “Pharrell’s vocals are fantastic, which made the remix difficult, but I knew my mix had to stand on its own and I wanted to do something conceptual”, he added.
