Detroit’s iconic Movement Music Festival returns this Memorial Day weekend, May 24th-26th, at Hart Plaza, promising a celebration of techno, house, and contemporary electronic music.

Belgian techno powerhouse Charlotte de Witte joins as the latest headliner, completing a formidable trio with Carl Cox, who will present his live performance, and John Summit.

Additional performers include Detroit legends Carl Craig, Moodymann, and Underground Resistance’s Mike Banks, alongside Ricardo Villalobos, Sara Landry, Kevin Saunderson, Nina Kraviz, Marcel Detmann, Seth Troxler, Jamie xx, Sammy Virji, Helena Hauff, FJAAK, The Blessed Madonna, Boys Noize, and many more.

Celebrating Detroit’s musical heritage, the festival spotlights local talent including Huey Mnemonic, Stacey Pullen, and Jon Dixon. Special showcases by Detroit Love, KMS Records, House Your Life, and the new Underground Music Academy (UMA) emphasize the city’s significance as techno’s birthplace.

Movement balances tradition with innovation, offering three days of electronic music on Detroit’s riverfront. Carl Cox remarks: Movement is a techno institution in Detroit so for me, it’s like reuniting with an old friend. I’m going to make up for the years I’ve missed with a show that’s going to send Detroit to another dimension!”
