CDR has launched Pathways, a talent development program backed by the PRS Foundation. This three-year initiative supports emerging electronic music artists and aims to democratize industry opportunities.

Participating artists receive CDR label releases, industry mentorship, production funding, and A&R guidanceā€”complete with advanced royalties. The program’s inaugural cohort features three promising artists: NIIX, MJSB, and Zar.

Tony Nwachukwu, CDR’s founder and respected figure in electronic music production and education, leads the initiative. As the current head of Music Tech & Production at the University of East London, Nwachukwu brings over two decades of industry expertise. “We’re so excited to launch Pathways with three of the most ambitious, dedicated and exciting artists from the CDR community in recent years,” says Nwachukwu. “It’s been amazing to see them progress and grow with us and we’re delighted to be able to release their music and offer this amount of support, guidance and financial investment.”

Tom Lea of Local Action Records joins as a mentor, alongside industry experts from Bandcamp, Glisten PR, and POLY Artists. The first Pathways release is scheduled for early February 2025, marking the beginning of this innovative electronic music development initiative.
