Known for her quality sessions and performances, including places like Marrakesh and New York, she now takes a significant step forward with the release of her debut single, ‘Flames of Fall’, via Chrom Recordings.
Trained as a classical musician from a young age, Ceci transitioned into DJing during university before making her way onto stages across Europe and beyond. In addition to her growing international tour schedule, she co-runs the Traumtanz event series in Berlin, crafting immersive experiences that prioritize connection, sound, and atmosphere.
In this conversation, Ceci Fierce opens up about her debut release, artistic vision, the value of creative freedom, and the road ahead.
EG: Hi, Ceci! Welcome to EG. It’s a pleasure to have you here with us. First of all, congratulations on the release of your debut single, ‘Flames of Fall’. How has the initial feedback been so far, and what role does this track play within your broader artistic journey?
Ceci Fierce: Thanks for the invite! The feedback has been incredibly positive and wide-ranging – from artists, friends, and dancers – and that alone already meant a lot to me. Together with Chrom Recordings, we also hosted a release party in Berlin in December, and seeing the track resonate so strongly in a live setting was a really special moment. Beyond that, the Beatport reaction honestly exceeded anything I could have imagined. ‘Flames of Fall’ entered the charts immediately, reaching No. 5 in the Hype Progressive House chart and No. 13 overall in Progressive House – something I would have never dared to dream of with a first release. Seeing my own music suddenly living on all platforms was a real pinch-me moment.
More than anything, this track represents a milestone within a much longer journey. Releasing it at the end of last year – a year in which I evolved deeply as an artist, both in the studio and while performing internationally – felt like a very natural closing chapter. At the same time, in terms of my producing path, it marked the beginning of something new and exciting. The release gave me a lot of confidence that I’m moving in the right direction. There’s already plenty of new music in the pipeline, so 2026 will definitely be an exciting year. Listeners can expect to hear a lot more very soon!
EG: How would you describe the sound world of ‘Flames of Fall’, and what did shaping this track teach you about your own workflow and artistic instincts?
Ceci Fierce: ‘Flames of Fall’ lives in a warm, melodic space that slowly unfolds rather than aiming for immediate impact. I wanted to create an atmosphere that feels immersive and emotionally driven, while still working naturally on the dancefloor. The production process was very personal for me. Starting to produce is a real journey: from learning the technical foundations to identifying your own sound and trusting your instincts. The track took almost eight months from first idea to final version. I produced it entirely in Ableton Live and also wrote and recorded the vocals myself, which made the process especially intimate. I began working on the track in autumn, which influenced both its mood and its title. Fire feels like a strong personal symbol for me, representing warmth, movement, passion, and transformation, and shaping this track confirmed how important it is for me to let ideas evolve naturally over time.
“Being an artist never gets boring”
EG: You’ve been active as a DJ for quite some time before releasing music. How has your experience on the dancefloor informed the way you approach creative freedom and experimentation in the studio?
Ceci Fierce: Spending so much time behind the decks has shaped my instincts more than anything else. Reading rooms and feeling how crowds react over time taught me to trust melody and emotional movement, even when trends shift toward faster, harder, or more repetitive sounds. For my first track, it was important not to chase main-time energy, but to create something melodic and emotionally driven, which naturally led me toward a progressive space. At the same time, DJing constantly exposes me to how fluid the scene really is. Producing has become a way for me to explore that freedom – experimenting beyond norms, following intuition, and gradually discovering what my own signature sound could be. That process of exploration, without forcing an outcome, feels like a crucial part of the journey.
EG: ‘Flames of Fall’ is out now as a part of Chrom Recordings’ ‘Chromologic X, Vol. IX’ compilation. Why did you decide to go with Chrom Recordings for your debut as a producer? How did the relationship with the label come about?
Ceci Fierce: I chose Chrom Recordings because it’s a well-established and respected label in the melodic and progressive house and techno space, with a clear artistic identity. For my first release, it was important to find a home that felt meaningful rather than purely transactional. I first met Pedro Mercado in Amsterdam a few years ago and later played at a Chrom showcase during ADE. His guidance throughout the process was exceptional: patient, supportive, and genuinely involved. He even traveled from Belgium to Berlin for the release party, which meant a lot to me and really reflects the spirit of the label. For a debut, that sense of personal connection made all the difference.

EG: By the way, we know you’re also organizing your own event series, Traumtanz Berlin. How did this project come to life, and what vision or idea stands behind Traumtanz?
Ceci Fierce: Exactly, I co-founded Traumtanz together with my friend and Berlin-based B2B partner-in-crime, Luca Nova. It’s a Berlin event series born from our desire to create more than just another club night. We wanted to build a space where people feel free, safe, and deeply connected through music – all within a dreamlike atmosphere. For me, Traumtanz (which translates to “Dream Dance”) reflects my artistic vision: to create meaningful experiences that bring people together on a deeper level – blending sound, energy, and emotion into something truly unforgettable. Our first two editions were a beautiful start: both completely sold out, with headliners like Ede and Niconé, and we’re already planning more events for later this year.
EG: Looking ahead, what do you see as some of the key challenges artists will face in the near future? Is there any advice you’d like to share with fellow producers navigating the scene today?
Ceci Fierce: One major topic is definitely the growing presence of AI in music production. I find it exciting, and I’m curious to experiment with it myself, but I also think it’s important, especially for new producers, to first learn the fundamentals of working with a DAW. Understanding sound design, arrangement, and structure gives you creative independence, and AI should be a tool to support that process rather than replace it. Another ongoing challenge is representation, particularly for women in electronic music production, which is still very male-dominated and highly technical. It often feels like you have to prove yourself a bit more, but once you push through that barrier, production becomes an incredibly powerful way to express creativity. I’d really encourage more women to try it, ask for help without hesitation, and trust that they belong in this space just as much as anyone else.

EG: What’s next for Ceci Fierce? What milestones are you looking forward to in 2026?
Ceci Fierce: After spending much of the past year playing and producing in my hometown Berlin, while also touring through Europe, Africa, and the US, I’m excited to keep expanding that journey and bringing my sound to new places and venues. One milestone I’m especially looking forward to is playing at Burning Man this summer – a long-term dream of mine and a space I’ve always associated with creative freedom and experimentation. Alongside that, I’m planning to spend more focused time in the studio after a few weeks off, collaborating with other artists and developing new music. Being an artist never gets boring. It can be challenging and sometimes overwhelming to juggle everything independently, but I’ve come to see that creative chaos as part of the process. It’s a beautiful, evolving journey, and that’s exactly what excites me about the year ahead.
EG: Thank you so much for your time, Ceci. We wish you all the best for what’s ahead.
Ceci Fierce: Thank you so much for having me! All the best to you and the EG team as well.
