Cercle has cancelled its upcoming 2026 festival in Mexico due to significant financial challenges. The two-day event was scheduled for November 14th and 15th, though a lineup had not yet been revealed.
According to founder and CEO Derek Barbolla, the company can no longer execute the event under its original design parameters. In response to the deficit, they are launching a fundraising lottery to help stabilize its operations. Ticket entries range from €1 to €200 and include prizes such as a framed gold record of Above & Beyond’s ‘Believer (Marsh’s Guatape Remix).’
The cancellation stems from a combination of escalating production costs, narrowing profit margins, and increased pressure on the platform’s 35-person workforce. Despite the financial setback, the organization confirmed that its existing video catalog will remain freely accessible on YouTube.
Launched in 2016, Cercle is a fully independent broadcaster renowned for hosting electronic music performances at historic landmarks, including the Pyramids of Giza and the Eiffel Tower.
The lottery campaign is active now. For more info, click here.
