In a message addressed to friends and supporters, his family and close circle shared the news with “shock and deep sorrow,” noting that his memory would live on through those closest to him.
Born in Budapest on October 26, 1977, Ronson entered the music scene at just 17 years old. A key figure in Hungary’s club culture, he was a resident at the iconic BPM events hosted at Club Korona and later at HOME in Budapest, where he supported global names including Sasha, John Digweed, Deep Dish, and Carl Cox. His international career spanned appearances at fabric, The Cross, Renaissance, Creamfields, Berlin Love Parade, and clubs across Japan and Thailand. He also released music through Global Underground, Renaissance, and his own imprint Cre8tion Records.
Ronson was a founding member of The Quasar music group, whose productions earned praise and support from the likes of Digweed, Hernan Cattaneo, and Nick Warren. In 2011, his track ‘Don’t Look Down’ reached No.1 on VIVA’s music channel and was featured across multiple international networks.
Tributes poured in following the announcement of his passing. Among them, John Digweed recalled their final party together in October: “He was such a lovely person and will be missed by so many. It was so incredible to see the love and the appreciation the crowd had for him. Showing gratitude for years of giving them so many musical memories.”
Chriss Ronson is remembered with deep affection and respect by friends, collaborators, and audiences worldwide.
