Berlin’s Cinthie has dropped her own personal take on ‘The Whistle Song’, possibly Frankie Knuckles’ most recognizable tune. The new rework arrives alongside the ‘Re-Directed’ version of the track, available on 12” vinyl.
Cinthie’s new remix is a celestial update of the original, driving the iconic whistle sample at the forefront, drenched in a swirling cocktail of blissful electronica that is fit for sunrises, sunsets, festivals, and even dark rooms.
To mark the release, Cinthie will be doing a stream from her record store, Elevate, that will act as a fundraiser for the Frankie Knuckles Foundation on ‘Frankie Knuckles Day’ this August, 25th.
