Berlin-based artist Luca Venezia, better known as Curses, returns under his Tutto Vetro alias with a new four-track EP titled ‘Trust The Beat’. The release is now available through Wrong Era, a sub-label of Slow Motion Records.

With ‘Trust The Beat’, Curses deepens his exploration of post-EBM, trance, Detroit techno, and progressive club sonics, shaping a raw yet emotional journey across four tracks. This latest outing under Tutto Vetro follows a single previous release on Spain’s Megabreakz (Oráculo), marking a significant evolution for the project.

Opening with the title track, ‘Trust The Beat’ combines groovy rhythms and distorted vocals in a tense, urgent atmosphere. ‘Wild Things’ follows with chaotic, textured energy, contrasting vocals and instrumentation in a bold interplay. On the B-side, label co-founder Fabrizio Mammarella contributes a remix of ‘Wild Things’, reimagined with a tight, percussive drive. Closing the record is ‘New Revolution’, a cinematic cut balancing ghostly ambiance and weighty basslines.

This release builds on themes familiar to Venezia, whose 2015 EP ‘So Strange’ helped define the Curses sound and initiated a lasting bond with the Slow Motion / Wrong Era imprint. As Tutto Vetro, he pays homage to the club cultures of late-’80s Valencia, Frankfurt, and NYC—melding their influence into a futuristic, emotionally resonant aesthetic.

Lyrically and tonally, ‘Trust The Beat’ reflects on turbulence and repetition in modern life, offering an invitation to self-trust and inner reset. The EP follows the January 2024 release ‘No Mercy (Megabreaks III)’ on Oráculo, further cementing Venezia’s place in the post-punk, trance, and darkwave resurgence.
