DJ and producer D.Marco has unveiled his latest musical offering, the ‘Disque-Man’ EP, now available through Jardineira Records.
‘Disque-Man’ is a vibrant journey through dance music history, featuring five tracks that blend vintage sounds with contemporary house music sensibilities.
Highlights include the joyful, retro-inspired ‘Libre’ and the nostalgic ‘Poperou’. The standout track ‘Disque Disque’, a collaboration with Seed Selector, captures the euphoric essence of ’90s dance anthems while adding a modern twist.
‘Retrodance’ offers a pure house experience with jazzy piano and vibrant vocals. Giorgio Menegatti’s remix of ‘Poperou’ concludes the EP, reimagining the original with a fresh bassline and energetic elements.
Discussing the EP’s aesthetic, D.Marco explains, “The EP is entirely inspired by the ’90s, with each track bringing distinct yet contemporary references. From the rave leads to the short, danceable synths of the era’s dance music, combined with the unmistakable presence of KORG M1 timbres, this work celebrates a decade of accelerated electronic music production. Nostalgia and longing were certainly the driving forces behind all the tracks.”
