Daft Punk’s ‘Random Access Memories’ is Discogs’ most collected release

Appearing in nearly 68,000 collections.

According to recent data from Discogs, Daft Punk’s ‘Random Access Memories’ is the “most collected release,” appearing in almost 68,000 collections. Once sold for $2,139 as a luxury vinyl box set, the album is one of the top sellers of the 2010s.

Discogs ranks electronic music second in collections at 22%, with rock music taking the lead at 53%. Vinyl comprises 70% of these collections.

To celebrate the 10th anniversary of ‘Random Access Memories,’ Daft Punk organized numerous festivities. These included a wax sculpture unveiling at Madame Tussauds in New York, a vinyl reissue of the album, the release of a drumless LP version, a series on the album’s production, and a live stream of their 2003 anime film ‘Interstella 5555: The 5tory Of The 5ecret 5tar 5ystem’.
