Amsterdam-based production duo Dam Swindle has emerged from a seven-year album hiatus with the announcement of their upcoming album ‘Open’ via Heist Recordings on May 30th, 2025. The anticipation builds as they unveil their first single, ‘Girl,’ featuring vocals by Faye Meana.
‘Open,’ born from introspection and personal evolution, is Dam Swindle’s most intimate album yet. Featuring collaborations with Haile Supreme, Joep Beving, and Samson, the album effortlessly moves between contemplative moments and club energy, from the ethereal ‘Home’ to the upbeat ‘Is This Love?’
Speaking about their creative process, the duo recently revealed: “We felt the need to tell a very personal story through our music as a translation of our personal development in the past years. We also wanted to make music without a specific goal in mind; we simply wanted to create. By taking away the grid of dance music and any expectations of what a Dam Swindle song should sound like, the creativity started to flow naturally with songs in many different styles and tempos. The result is an album that feels refreshing and uplifting and still very much true to the heart and soul of our sound.”
Following the release of ‘Girl,’ two more singles will drop soon: ‘I Need You’ on April 4th and ‘Not Enough’ on May 7th.
