Darius Syrossian & Alan Dixon remix Frankie Knuckles’ ‘Your Love’

The classic was written by Jamie Principle and originally released in 1986.

While the late Frankie Knuckles may be gone, his spirit is still very much alive. ‘The Godfather of House’ created a wealth of stone-cold classics, including the seminal ‘Your Love’, which famously borrowed on the crossover hit ‘You’ve Got The Love’ by The Source & Candi Staton. Now, 34 years later, the track has been re-produced by Darius Syrossian & Alan Dixon as part of the Director’s Cut project, which aims to update a number of classic cuts for the modern dancefloor.

For his take, legendary Sankey’s resident Darius Syrossian offers a unique blend of beats, heavily influenced by some of the great spinners from Detroit, New York, and Chicago. Meanwhile, Alan Dixon’s remix is directed at the center of the dancefloor, featuring a strong beat through the mix along with a slightly nostalgic vibe.

‘It is probably one of the toughest projects you could ever take with a track which has this much legendary status. You cannot disrespect it by changing it too much but at the same time, you have to put your stamp on it. I’m very happy with how it has turned out’, says Syrossian about the release.
