David Bowie is considered as the greatest enternainer of the 20th century. This is the result of a recent BBC 2 poll for its historical series Icons. Other artists who participated were Marilyn Monroe who took the second place, Charlie Chaplin the third and Billie Holiday the fourth.
The renowned British musician lost his life on January 10, 2016, but he is still remembered by his fans as one of the most influential figures in the world. At the end of the series there will be a general vote in which the public will choose the biggest icon of the 20th century in general.
