Deep Dish are set to make their long-awaited return to Global Underground with ‘GU49: Dublin’, slated for release in May 2026. The album marks the completion of their City Series trilogy, following the acclaimed ‘GU21: Moscow’ and ‘GU25: Toronto’.

More than two decades since their debut for the label, Sharam and Dubfire reunite under their Deep Dish moniker to deliver a new chapter in the Global Underground story. With ‘GU49: Dublin’, the duo offers a refined mix that bridges past and present — a release positioned not just as a compilation, but a statement of legacy. The release also includes a Deep Dish exclusive: a remix of Moderat’s ‘Eating Hooks’, due out as a single on May 1st.

Speaking on the project, Deep Dish shared: Global Underground was foundational for us, not just as a platform but as a legacy — a series shaped by decades of iconic artists who helped define the culture of DJing and club music. It was always about storytelling, and in many ways each compilation served as a musical time-capsule. We always tried to include the most timeless songs possible and coming back to the series now feels like closing a circle while opening a new chapter.”

Global Underground founder Andy Horsfield added: “It’s a honour to be able to team up with Ali and Sharam again to deliver yet another outstanding GU City series album this time from the vibrant city of Dublin. Deep Dish have again excelled themselves just like they did with Moscow and Toronto in delivering a stunning album with #GU49 Dublin I’m sure the GU and Deep Dish fans across the globe are going to love this album as much as we do.”

To celebrate the launch, a sold-out release party is set to take place at Index, Dublin on Friday, January 30th.
