Deep Dish have unveiled their new remix of Moderat’s ‘Eating Hooks’, released via Global Underground ahead of the upcoming compilation ‘GU49: Dublin’, set to arrive on May 29th, 2026.
Originally released by Moderat in 2016, ‘Eating Hooks’ receives a new interpretation from the duo while preserving the atmosphere and emotional depth of the original production. The remix expands the track with rolling percussion, layered synth work, and extended club-focused arrangements designed for late-night dancefloors.
The release also marks the first Moderat release in three years following the Rampa and &ME remix of ‘More Love’. Speaking about the project, Deep Dish shared: “Moderat’s ‘Eating Hooks’ has always carried a certain emotional weight for us. There’s a depth to their music that stays with you and reworking it was a real honor for us. Timeless, emotional, and deeply atmospheric, it’s one of those rare records that lives beyond trends.”
They continued: “Our approach was to preserve that essence while reshaping it for the dancefloor, pushing it into a more club-focused direction; something that could stretch out and evolve in a late-night set. The remix felt like a natural bridge between worlds, and we’re proud to share it as an exclusive from our upcoming ‘Global Underground: Dublin’ release.”
‘GU49: Dublin’ will close Deep Dish’s Global Underground city mix trilogy, following previous editions centered on Moscow and Toronto. The new remix serves as one of the project’s defining moments ahead of the full compilation release later this month.
