December has started with the presentation of the DIPEF association (DJs and producers of Eivissa & Formentera) gathering professionals of the electronic music industry at the Standard Hotel in Ibiza town. Christian Len, co-author of the ‘BALEARIC: The history of the clubber culture in Ibiza’, is the president of the DIPEF.
Its offer includes adequate training for professionals in the sector and also supports the whole community around the scene: technics, promoters, managers, agents, DJs, and producers on the island. The goal is to work together to have more representation and spaces to show the local talented artists.
The DIPEF is also inviting companies and government institutions to support this initiative and take action to have a cultural, social, and economical evolution of electronic music in Ibiza.
This meeting finished with a local event in a marketplace, where the resident’s DJ Pau mind started with a special set For the closing session, two female artists play back to back: Tania Moom and Cristina Molina.
