DJ Awards has announced its full list of nominees for the 2025 edition, alongside the launch of public voting.
Following a successful return to Ibiza in 2024 after a four-year hiatus, the DJ Awards continues its mission as a fully independent, non-pay-to-play platform. All nominations are curated by a Grand Jury of industry experts representing over 50 leading music brands, ensuring each category reflects depth and diversity across electronic music’s many genres and subcultures.
New for this year are the Balearic and Hard Dance/Bounce categories, expanding the ceremony’s reach into two scenes that have seen renewed energy over the past year. The Balearic award recognizes DJs who embody the genre-defying, sun-soaked essence of Ibiza, while Hard Dance/Bounce spotlights a style enjoying major resurgence.
Categories for 2025 include Afro, Drum & Bass, House, Techno, Trance, Tech House, Garage/Bassline, Progressive/Melodic, Hard Techno, Latin House/Reggaeton, International DJ, Live Act, Breakthrough, and Newcomer. Gender diversity remains a focus, with each genre category featuring at least two female nominees.
Industry and Special Recognition Awards will return as well, including Track of the Summer, Party of the Summer, Icon Award, Lifetime Achievement, DJ Livestream of the Year, and Play It Back – Social Impact Award. Winners are selected by a jury and will be revealed ahead of the ceremony.
Last year’s winners included Black Coffee, Sam Divine, Armin van Buuren, CamelPhat, Chase & Status, Fisher, WhoMadeWho, and Luciano, who received the Ibiza Icon Award. The venue and full program for the 2025 awards show will be announced in the coming weeks.
Voting is now open at the DJ Awards official website.
