A double vinyl LP and 7-inch, which features a Cut Chemist remix.
DJ Shadow has announced a special release edition for the 25th anniversary of his classic album, ‘Endtroducing’, featuring a new double-vinyl reissue and 7-inch.
Branded as ‘Endtroducing 25 – The Abbey Road Half-Speed Master’, the double-vinyl reissue with remastered audio from the original studio tape, has been cut at half-speed. A separate 7-inch features a Cut Chemist remix of ‘The Number Song’, together with a new single containing isolated elements from ‘Endtroducing’.
‘I was so happy to have recently discovered the original DAT tape that served as the final mix source of the album, and was able to provide it for the remaster just in time for this release. When comparing the new version with the old, I was shocked at how many audible details were revealed that I had completely forgotten about.’ said DJ Shadow about the forthcoming reissue.
Both releases are due out on September 24th, via Island Records, with a special tee-shirt showcasing the original ‘Endtroducing’ artwork also available.
