Donna Lewis revealed her struggle with breast cancer in her latest album, ‘Rooms With A View’. Known for her timeless ballad, ‘I Love You, Always Forever’, the  Welsh artist now uses her music to narrate her story of resilience.

Although she initially planned to mark the 25th anniversary of her iconic hit in 2021, a breast cancer diagnosis changed her course. Lewis turned this adversity into an artistic endeavor, partnering with producer Holmes Ives for this deeply personal project.

‘Rooms With A View’ chronicles her journey with cancer, with each track symbolizing a different stage from diagnosis to recovery. The album was a result of a remote collaboration between Lewis and Ives, who exchanged musical ideas to construct a narrative beyond a conventional album.

Lewis shares, “The instrumental tracks that Holmes Ives sent me coaxed the lyrics from the pages of my journals and inspired an album of stories, unlocking fears, and the climb to a healthier me – mind, body, and spirit”.

Now an ambassador for Making Strides Against Breast Cancer, Lewis’s album stands as a beacon of hope and a source of support for others facing their own challenges.
