Dua Lipa and The Blessed Madonna announce remix album ‘Club Future Nostalgia’

Featuring Missy Elliott, Madonna, Gwen Stefani, Mark Ronson, and more artists to be announced.

Dua Lipa has announced the release of ‘Club Future Nostalgia’, a completely remixed version of her album ‘Future Nostalgia’, created in collaboration with The Blessed Madonna, who curated and mixed the album in a continuous mixtape format.

The Blessed Madonna, formerly known to all as The Black Madonna, is a Kentucky-born, Chicago-adopted, and London-based DJ and producer who has become one of the most famous names in global club culture.

On ‘Club Future Nostalgia’ Dua said: ‘The last few months have been surreal. I’ve seen them all dance in their homes and at their Zoom parties from ‘Future Nostalgia’ as if they were in the club with me (…). During this time, I decided to take the party up a notch with the incomparable The Blessed Madonna, who secretly helped me create the mixtape that would become ‘Club Future Nostalgia’. We invited some friends and legends to join in the fun with us. The absolute queens Missy Elliot and Madonna joined me for an epic remix of ‘Levitating’, and the girl of my dreams, Gwen Stefani, and the supreme Mark Ronson teamed up to take ‘Physical’ to the next level. And the party doesn’t stop there, there are many more surprises to come!’.

About working on the album, The Blessed Madonna commented: ‘Taking ‘Future Nostalgia’ and reinventing it as a mixtape album was a huge project, which had to be done in absolute secrecy, just in my attic. (…) Creating remixes and originals, selecting the dream team of additional remixes, and weaving the characteristics into a new album was daunting and exciting, to say the least. My admiration for Dua only deepened. She is a brilliant and unique artist of this generation’.

Dua Lipa‘s ‘Club Future Nostalgia’, in collaboration with The Blessed Madonna, will be released on August 28th.
