Dubfire and Miss Kittin team up again with a new project. ‘Ride’ contains two-tracks, one per artist, each giving their own interpretation of the same song.
The project comes after their latest one titled ‘Exit’ which received tremendous support from the likes of Carl Cox, John Digweed, Joris Voorn, and Pete Tong among many others.
“We both love working with one another. We feel like we’ve struck a unique collaborative partnership”, Dubfire commented.
Miss Kittin’s version is one of her typically brooding synth workouts, fusing classic electro with sharp undertones. A nagging double-time bassline provides the driving force as taut percussion flutters around her sultry vocal snippets.
Dubfire’s version naturally inclines towards the techno side with an even more slow-burning feel that builds through layers of percussion, paired with throbbing on-beat bass. It stays true to the charm of Kittin’s version, with the contrasting atmospheric synth-driven sections.
A series of remixes are expected to be released later, including ones by Solomun, Audion, Djedjotronic and music legend Vince Clarke.
‘Ride’ is already available on Sci + Tec and you can grab it here.
