Georgian group East Duo has confirmed six new releases for 2026. The announcement follows the unexpected success of their track ‘Chubina’, recorded on an iPhone 6 and released independently in 2024. The song reached Shazam’s Global Top 200, entered the iTunes Top 20 in multiple countries, and has surpassed 130 million streams on Spotify.
Formed by Levan Bantsadze, Giorgi Matkava, and Mamuka Matkava, East Duo blends elements of Georgian folk with minimalist, cinematic arrangements. Their music is primarily instrumental and rooted in emotion rather than language, combining traditional instruments and melodies with modern production.
