His musical journey began in Thessaloniki with a childhood synthesizer—a gift that sparked his sonic exploration, influenced by Detroit pioneers and drum’n’bass.

His debut project, ‘IνΦο’, delivered three downtempo albums by 2009, establishing the foundation for a DJ career steeped in emotional and atmospheric textures. The Echonomist moniker flourished through pivotal releases on Resopal and Dessous, leading to recent works including the ‘Panic Attack’ EP with Jenia Tarsol, remixes for Stephan Bodzin and Ry X, and his 2023 Innervisions release ‘Secret Places’.

His high-energy sets are distinguished by their emphasis on mood and nuance, channeling both emotional depth and sonic intention.

To celebrate his upcoming performance at CamelPhat’s Pacha Ibiza residency on Tuesday, June 17th, Echonomist shares 10 emotive tracks that seamlessly flow from warm-up through after-hours to peak dancefloor moments. Grab your tickets here.

1. 69 – Desire

Carl Craig at his most sensual and hypnotic. ‘Desire’ simmers with restrained tension, minimal in structure, but rich in atmosphere. It’s a perfect scene-setter for opening sets when you want to stir emotion without force.”

2. LFO – LFO (Leeds Warehouse Mix)

“Pure sub-frequency nostalgia. This mix grooves with quirky funk and distorted beauty. A playful but weighty warm up tool, enough to move bodies without demanding full energy.”

3. Kevin Saunderson – Bassline (Joris Voorn Mix 07)

Joris Voorn takes a Detroit classic and stretches it into something smoother, deeper, and wide open. That bassline rolls like early morning light. A bridge between groove and emotion.”

4. Anthony Rother – Don’t Worry

“Electro meets tenderness. Rother’s signature robotic funk is softened by his emotional vocal textures, ideal for that vulnerable space on the floor when people are loosening their grip on reality. Sunrise vibes.”

5. Phil Kieran and Green Velvet – Enjoy The Day (Vocal)

Velvet’s vocals bring charisma and contrast to Kieran’s deep, trippy groove. This one radiates positivity without ever feeling cheesy. A great tool for turning the floor from introverted to open-hearted.”

6. Echonomist and Jenia Tarsol – The Harbour

“A track close to my heart, crafted with intention and emotion. It moves like memory: steady, dreamlike, and full of warmth. Works best when you want to slow time and deepen connection.”

7. Jeigo – Pearl Leaf

“A shimmering piece of textural house. There’s a fragility to it that I love, almost dissolves as it plays. Perfect for transitions or outdoor settings where the sky and sound feel connected.

8. The Phantasy – Rainbow

“Lo-fi, emotional, and a bit rough around the edges, in the best way. This is a track for end-of-night moments when the floor is raw, open, and ready for something honest.”

9. Echonomist – Oriental

“One of my own creations that explores mysticism and groove. It’s hypnotic but grounded, meant for letting people drift inward without losing their footing on the floor.”

10. Ben Hixon – 7AM Germany

“This one feels exactly like its title: gentle, slightly surreal, with that disoriented afterparty energy. Everything’s fuzzy, yet beautiful. A perfect closer, or opener, depending on where the night takes you.”
