On June 25th, Eden Ibiza will open its doors to Todd Terry Presents Freeze Project, marking the New York house pioneer’s first solo residency on the island.
Curated by Todd Terry himself, the residency spans thirteen Wednesdays and pairs the Grammy-nominated producer with artists who have shaped house music on both sides of the Atlantic.
Guests across the summer include Mark Knight, Kevin Saunderson, Majestic, Ferreck Dawn, Beyond Chicago, Julie McKnight, Barbara Tucker, Angelo Ferri, Janika Tenn, Martin Ikon, Fat Tony, Doctor Feelgood, Lovely Laura & Ben Santiago, Junior Sanchez, Illyus Barrientos, Lee Grant aka MC Gee, Steve Taylor, and Richard Earnshaw.
Eden Ibiza, a pillar of San Antonio’s nightlife since 1999, provides the backdrop for a program designed to sidestep mainstream trends in favor of groove-led rhythms, soulful vocals, and pure dance-floor energy.
Over a career spanning more than forty years, Todd Terry’s productions and remixes—among them ‘Keep On Jumpin’ and ‘A Day in the Life’, plus reworks for Björk, Jungle Brothers, and Everything But The Girl—have cemented his status as one of house music’s founding icons.
Speaking about the partnership, the club said: “It’s an absolute honor to join forces with Todd Terry for his first-ever solo residency in Ibiza. His influence goes far beyond the underground scene, and through his label Freeze Records, he has helped shape an entire generation of house music talent. This is going to be an epic residency.”
