“This mix is inspired by a touch more Afro than I usually include in my sets, but it still has a distinct “Meyer” feel, as many of the tracks feature the typical clave pattern that’s present in most of my work. I’ve been incorporating Afro elements into my sets for over 10 years, though it’s never the only style I play. I enjoy blending different genres because it’s more creatively challenging.

Matthias Meyer has been a defining force in the electronic music scene for over a decade, most notably as a long-time resident DJ at Berlin’s iconic Watergate. He also helms his own label, Strangely Enough, where he’s released standout EPs such as ‘Strangely Enough’ and ‘The Choir’.
