EG.1042 Scuba

“I haven’t recorded a mix in the studio for ages so it was nice to spend a bit of time putting together some tracks and getting involved with the blends. I’ve been doing a lot of deep house digging recently so there’s a fair bit of old stuff on here, as well as some newer bits and the two tracks from my new LNOE release. Hope people have as much fun listening as it was to record.” – Scuba

Paul Rose, better known as Scuba, has been shaping underground music for more than two decades. From his roots in London’s first wave of bass through his Berlin years of gritty techno and melodic house, his career has been defined by constant reinvention. In recent times, his Digital Underground mixtapes showcased a fierce blend of hardcore and breakbeat, while his Music Not Diving podcast has become a trusted voice, offering rare insights from some of the scene’s key figures.

With a history that even saw Sasha champion one of his early EPs back in 2011, Scuba now returns to Sasha’s own Last Night On Earth for the second time this year. Following May’s Animatronic EP, he delivers Archives | Meteors, two tracks built for tension, atmosphere, and full-floor immersion. It’s a fitting moment to welcome Scuba for EG.1042, where his mix continues the story of an artist who never stands still yet always leaves a mark.
