Joshua Gutiérrez, better known as Slurm, finishing his studies in San José, Costa Rica, frequently visited the Vertigo Club and it was here where he decided to dedicate himself to House Techno Music, returning to his native Guayaquil. In one of these is where he was invited to be part of Lost Beach Club. Since the beginning, being part of his team and staying as a resident for 7 years, warming the track to countless DJs like Jamie Jones, Tale Of Us, Steve Bug, Layo & Bushwacka!, Damian Lazarus, Patrick Topping, Mr C., Oxia, Audiojack, Tiefschwarz, Francesca Lombardo, DJ Tennis, Wolf + Lamb, among others. All this while he was doing sporadic events in the city and organizing his festival Nature Beats once a year, which has the best Ecuador’s exponents and goes for the 10th edition.
In 2013, After his production studies in Argentina, he created his record labeled as “Savia Park”, which now has more than 30 EPs, which include the best producers in Ecuador and a selection of artists from Latin America, seeking musical integration in the continent and musical connection, having the vision that from this side of the world good things can be achieved. In 2016 he moved to Quito, where for 1 and a half years he lives, and lives in the now closed BPM Club, where he had the opportunity to open to artists such as Claptone, Audiofly, Luca Bacchetti, Technasia, Pirupa, wAFF, among others. BPM Club helped him to bring his sound to his new city, where he soon changes his page in mid-2018 and joins the Bassick Club team, with a new residence there.
He is a man involved by music, in his mixes we can feel all his selections intensely, which leaves many people marked, dancing in a club, in festivals, in the dawn or in the evening. Slurm has a compilation of everything within the line of House and even the most groovy techno which, together, go through a variety of emotions, fresh and dynamic sound, being always updated with the latest releases and promotional hits.
His sessions led him to present himself to various countries and clubs, such as La Buat Panama, Baum Colombia, D-Edge Brazil, Bizarro Peru, among other points, such as Seattle (USA), El Salvador, Nicaragua, Bolivia, Guatemala, Honduras, Paraguay and also be part of the BPM Festival in 2017 in Mexico, Ocaso Festival in Costa Rica 2018 and 2019, Full Moon Nicaragua and Electronic Art Festival in Barranquilla.
He currently lives in Quito, half of the world, releasing music in Savia Park, playing in all parts of Ecuador and with future presentations throughout the continent.
