Good friends Kate Stein and Concret, who share a background in spatial design, have found an electric flow state in their new b2b project. Both are unafraid of taking risks and drawing deep appreciation from post-punk, minimal wave, and house music. Expect a lot more from these two in 2024!
Kate Stein is an Australian producer, DJ, and visual artist based in NYC. Her soundscapes span minimal chug, cosmic acid house, psychedelic guitar riffs, and offbeat glitch. Paving her own underground path, Kate describes her style as late-night chill rave while meticulously crafting spaces with an eye for the elegant and the mischievous. She has released on labels including TAU, Spinning Top, and Roam and is launching her own imprint, 99FVR, in March.
CONCRET is the music project of Diego Angelico Escobar, Italo-Mexican artist and dj based between Mexico City and New York. His music has been released on various labels including Correspondant, Motordiscs, Toy Tonics as well as on his own label Tráfico Music. His name has become synonymous with the rising underground Latin American music scene, his artistic career has been crossing the barriers between music, sound design and perforative art installations.
