Paco Wegmann has spent more than a decade making records that tend to find their way into DJ sets before they reach release schedules.

His latest, ‘Mais Forte,’ follows that pattern. The collaboration with Jungle Jack and Brazilian vocalist Rincon Sapiencia had already been circulating in Loco Dice’s sets well before it landed on SB Recordings in July. Wegmann’s music has earned support over the years from Jamie Jones, The Martinez Brothers, Marco Carola, Pete Tong, and Dice himself.

That background sets the tone for his entry into the EG After series.

Across the session, Wegmann stays close to the stripped, percussive club music that has defined much of his work. The selections are tight and functional, with vocal fragments, steady bass pressure, and tracks built for long blends rather than quick impact. His own music sits comfortably inside that approach, rather than becoming the entire point of the set.

It also reflects the way Wegmann talks about his career. More than a decade in, he has little interest in chasing every release cycle or trend. His focus remains on records he can stand behind, the DJs who keep playing them, and the slow process of building something that lasts.

‘Mais Forte’ might be the catalyst, but his EG After mix shows who Paco Wegmann is behind the decks: patient, sharp, and completely in control of the room.
