Blake Jarrell began his career as an apprentice to Armin van Buuren, touring more than 60 countries over a decade as his hand picked support DJ. Those years on the road shaped a strong foundation, but Blake’s identity has continued to grow far beyond his early trance roots.
Today his music sits at the intersection of progressive house, techno, and melodic trance, focused on depth, restraint, and long form storytelling. After stepping away from the scene to battle cancer, Blake has returned with renewed focus and purpose, channeling that experience into a new chapter of music and performance.
With forthcoming releases on Bedrock, UV, Ray Of Light, Mango Alley, and Dissident, his sound reflects influences that range from Hernan Cattaneo and Paul Thomas to Sasha, John Digweed, Boards of Canada, and Telefon Tel Aviv.
His debut on the EGR series captures this moment clearly, a statement mix rooted in patience, atmosphere, and emotional weight. Alongside his studio work, Blake curates the weekly Concentrate Selections series on Spotify and Apple Music, offering a deeper look into the music that continues to shape his path.
