JJ Grant arrives on the EGR Podcast with a story that feels almost cinematic.

By day, he is a corporate pilot, moving through skies, schedules, airports, and altitude. By night, or whenever music calls him back, he returns to the place that first caught him in the late 90s: the DJ booth.

His path began in Texas, inside club rooms where the lights, the records, and the people behind the decks became a quiet obsession. He started close to the action, hanging around the booth, working lights, learning the room, and slowly finding his own place behind the decks. Life would later take him toward aviation, but the music stayed. It became the thread he never let go.

For the past 13 years, Grant has been producing and remixing with steady dedication, building a catalog across respected progressive house labels including Massive Harmony, Mistique Music, Suffused, Clinique, Mystic Carousel, Silk Angel, Elliptical Sun, Magic Room, LuPS, BC2, OLD SQL, PHW, and more. His work sits in that emotional corner of progressive music where melody, movement, and patience still matter.

A former resident at InsomniaFM with his monthly show Mixed Emotions, JJ Grant continues to balance two lives that share more than they might seem at first. Both require focus. Both require timing. Both ask for trust in the journey.
