Kaspar Tasane has been called “the one to watch” by Soundgarden resident Gustin in DMC World Magazine, praising his elegant and driving take on progressive music that recalls the spirit of the mid nineties.
Raised in Tallinn, Estonia, Kaspar built his craft inside a scene that shaped his taste early. His work later caught the ear of Armin Van Buuren, who featured Kaspar’s track “Fusha” on A State of Trance 700. Support from names like Paul Oakenfold, Solarstone, and Cosmic Gate soon followed.
With time his sound settled into a deeper and more underground frame. Champions of this style such as Hernan Cattaneo, Nick Warren, Guy J, Darin Epsilon, Anthony Pappa, Sandra Collins, and Chris Fortier have all shared his work.
Kaspar learned to play long before the age of sync or USBs. He first found his footing in Tallinn’s clubs, then moved to Energy FM where his Friday night show Weekend Liftoff became a hit across the city. That momentum led to regular bookings in clubs, warehouses, and festival stages around Estonia, record bags in hand.
Now based in the United States, he keeps that same steady touch behind the decks, with appearances in Portland, Austin, San Antonio, and Houston, often opening for artists like Oakenfold, Kenneth Thomas, First State, and Myon and Shane 54.
