Electronic Groove Records welcomes Barcelona-born DJ and producer Pedro Sanmartín to its new mix series. A figure who moves with patience and precision, Pedro has been shaping his sound since the mid-2000s, blending deep, hypnotic strains of house and techno into crafted, enduring journeys.
Trained in Fine Arts, Pedro’s early work was visual, but music soon became his language. His professional DJ career began in 2005 after a defining spell in Germany’s club culture, which he embraced not as a scene but as a way of life. Since then, he has released on labels like Seven Villas, Everything Will Be Ok, Loot Recordings, Univack, Tronic, and Tenampa, earning support from Hernán Cattáneo, Pablo Bolívar, Christian Smith, and Danny Howells.
In 2020, Pedro unveiled his debut album Unfolding Nature, a record built on simplicity, essence, and a rejection of shortcuts. His work has featured on platforms including Ibiza Global Radio, Ibiza Sonica, Deepersounds, and British Airways playlists, while his performances have taken him to Amsterdam Dance Event, Electro Beach, Nitsa Club, Razzmatazz, Insomnia, and Culture Box. Along the way, he has shared stages with Guy J, Rrose, Pablo Bolívar, and Nhar.
