Fordal (Les Dales) is a DJ, producer, and Co-Owner of the legendary progressive house label Forensic Records. His deep-seated passion for music traces back to his childhood, influenced by his father, a jazz saxophonist who shared stages with icons like Jimmy Hendrix and Rod Stewart. Raised in the vibrant musical landscape of the North East UK, Fordal’s journey into music began with transformative experiences like The Arena Opening Party in Middlesborough and Andrew Weatherall’s techno sets at London’s Turnmills.
Fordal made an early mark in music by co-founding the esteemed Binary Records shop in 1998, a haven for music enthusiasts until digital piracy led to its closure in 2001. This foundation propelled Fordal to grace renowned venues worldwide, including The Arena, Purple Onion, The Cornerhouse, Ministry of Sound, and EGG London, where he developed his distinctive style—a blend of genres that transcends conventional boundaries, oscillating between light and dark.
Evolving with the industry, Fordal sharpened his production skills at Point Blank Music School, refining his ability to craft compelling musical narratives. His tenure as Co-Owner of Forensic Records, alongside original founder Chris Scott (Lexicon Avenue), marks a new chapter in his career, uniting his extensive record collection, captivating DJ sets, and original productions to ignite imaginations and inspire music lovers globally.
