Born and raised in Chicago, Azzecca’s relationship with electronic music was shaped as much on the dance floor as behind the decks. When she is not DJing, she can often be found inside the city’s underground clubs, observing how rooms move, how energy shifts, and how DJs build long arcs across a night. That same curiosity led her to create Dirty Disco, her fast growing event series that brings forward thinking artists from around the world into Chicago’s club circuit.
Her sound draws from house, techno, and the darker sides of disco and dance music. As a DJ, she is known for thoughtful selections and a strong sense of progression, moving between styles without losing control of the room. This approach has earned her spots alongside artists such as Tale of Us, Ame, Camelphat, Joris Voorn, DJ Tennis, and Carl Craig.
In the studio, Azzecca applies the same mindset. Her productions sit between genres, focused on scale, weight, and function within a club system. That direction caught the attention of Diplo’s Higher Ground label, which released her debut single I’ve Been Waiting and the EP Other Side. The title track surpassed two million streams within its first three months and received early support from Pete Tong, Danny Howard, and Sarah Story, followed by consistent rotation across Kiss Dance, SiriusXM, and international stations.
EG.1055 marks her first appearance on the Electronic Groove podcast, capturing an artist whose path has been built patiently, from local floors to global recognition, with the dance floor always as the final reference point.
