Electronic Groove Records has released ‘Oblivion’, a new collaborative single from Shapeless Lab and Under Son. The package arrives alongside two reinterpretations courtesy of BiGz and Robert R. Hardy, and Russian duo DP-6.
The original version explores deep progressive territory, combining acidic sequences, crisp percussion, and evolving melodic textures. Built around tension and gradual development, ‘Oblivion’ unfolds through shifting atmospheres and layered rhythmic movement.
BiGz and Robert R. Hardy take the track in a more melodic direction, rebuilding its framework around a driving groove and expansive synth work. Their version enhances the emotional core of the original while introducing a more direct dancefloor focus.
Closing the release, DP-6 deliver a darker and more restrained interpretation. The duo, comprised of Vadim Indigo and Alexey Filin, lean into cavernous textures and hypnotic momentum, offering a deeper perspective on the source material.
