Elegie has recently presented ‘Inner Escape from Alcatraz’ via Dark City Music, a three-track EP connected to her live DJ set recorded inside the Alcatraz jail, located in San Francisco, California

The release includes ‘Ghosts of The Rock’, ‘Jailer’, and ‘Clint Westwood’. The EP translates the concept of the filmed performance into studio form, using melodic and cinematic techno built around tension, release, and the contrast between the weight of the prison and the openness of the surrounding water and sky.

Each track approaches the island from a different perspective. ‘Jailer’ reflects on the figures connected to the prison, ‘Ghosts of The Rock’ looks at what remained, and ‘Clint Westwood’ nods directly to the escape narrative tied to Clint Eastwood’s ‘Escape from Alcatraz’.

The DJ live set, developed over nearly a year and broadcast by 1001Tracklists, was inspired by the idea of breaking free from internal limitations. It includes IDs, reworks, and original productions shaped by the silence and atmosphere of the prison itself.

Elegie will also perform on July 4th, 2026, at Nora En Pure’s event at Ruins Napa Valley, alongside Verbal A, GSTAV, and Operator SF. Grab your tickets here.
