Ellen Allien has announced her new album ‘New Life’, set for release on July 9th through BPitch. Alongside the announcement, the Berlin artist has also shared the record’s first single, ‘Steh Auf’, offering an early glimpse into the project’s emotionally charged and rave-focused direction.
Recorded between Berlin, Miami, and Ibiza, the album explores themes of autonomy, collective responsibility, regeneration, and community through Allien’s signature forward-facing techno aesthetic. Across the record, she blends hypnotic rhythms, darkwave textures, spoken-word passages, and atmospheric sound design shaped by environmental recordings and dystopian imagery.
Positioned as the emotional center of the album, ‘Steh Auf’ channels the project’s tension between darkness and optimism while reinforcing Allien’s long-standing connection to club culture as a space for resistance and collective expression.
The LP will feature ten tracks, including ‘Cruising’, ‘Move It’, ‘Riot’, and ‘Mein Herz’, continuing Allien’s decades-long exploration of experimental and emotionally driven electronic music.
