Mexican producer Emmanuel Prieto, under his EMMË alias, has released his debut EP, ‘Factor 2’, via Metrika’s Happy Accident imprint. Out now across all platforms, the five-track project blends downtempo, organic house, electro pop, and trance through a narrative centered on personal transformation and emotional introspection.

Based in Mexico City, Prieto returns to music after several years away from the studio. Conceived as a sonic storytelling experience, ‘Factor 2’ moves between cinematic atmospheres, psychedelic textures, and dancefloor-driven moments.

The EP opens with ‘Darkest Sun’, a downtempo cut built around soft and immersive energy. From there, ‘Black Lagoon’ introduces dub-influenced basslines and a more psychedelic approach, while ‘Phantom Love’ leans into electro pop territory with references to early 2000s trance. Later, ‘Smile’ brings playful textures and rhythmic low-end grooves before the title track closes the project with guitar elements and a more explosive techno-driven direction.

‘Factor 2’ is about remembering that the most fun, authentic, and creative moments come when we return to being children,” says EMMË.

Beyond music, Emmanuel Prieto is also the co-founder of Taverna and creator of Mesa Nómada, projects that connect gastronomy, art, and immersive experiences. His work also extends to Burning Man, where he contributes to the culinary development of MAXA Camp.
